WORK EXPERIENCE
When students
reach the senior grades, they will be considered for possible work
placement experience. It is the goal of ‘work placement”
to give students on the job experience to practice and demonstrate
essential work skills. Students will go to job placements that match
interest and ability.
What is the
Graduation Transition Plan?
The Graduation
Transitions Plan is intended to prepare students for a successful
transition to life after secondary school. Students begin work on
the Graduation Transition Plan in their Planning 10 class and continue
work on it independently through grade 11 and 12. Help is available
from Ms. Kimbley in room 302.
The Graduation
Transitions Plan is worth four credits and is mandatory for graduation.
The Ministry has condensed the requirements into clear and concise
sections.
Personal Health
(150 minutes of physical activity per week in grade 10 through 12)
Community Connections (30 hours of work and/or volunteer experience)
Career and Life (Graduation Transition package to be completed in
grade 12 with a presentation component in the form of an interview)
Help on completing the Graduation Transitions Plan is available
everyday in room 302.
